    Will Coil Become the New Nexus?

    Okay let me write up a bit of a story. I came from playing DC Universe Online (Still play it!) It's a great game and people seem to be accomodating and great, until one day this new expansion came out named Origin Crisis. It created a higher tier at end game and, to my dismay, created a rather difficult and rather ostrachizing pairs of raids (If you know this game, you very likely know them) It's general consensus that most people won't even WANT you in their group unless you have a certain average item level. One could even write a book about the number of times groups disband from just one attempt at a boss or section.

    My point is that I'm fearful of coil becoming that sort of unclimbable mountain that 70-90 percent of people won't be able to reach the summit of.

    It is part of the game's design philosophy that the current most challenging content be accessible by a certain subset of players, and furthermore be expected to be cleared by a fraction of the total playerbase. Yoshi-P did in fact say originally that he expected only 100 or so players would clear Turn 5 of Coil before 2.1. Granted, with the nerf to Twintania, I feel like we've passed that number already.

    As higher tier content is released (in our case it will be the following turns of Coil in patch 2.2 ) turns 1-5 will not be as inaccessible. Ultimately, devs have posted regarding systems that will buff players to be able to more readily clear said content similar to how players receive buffs int he main storyline quests when they fail enough times.

    Furthermore, even though 2.1 does not directly give us higher tier content it will give us CT through which players can obtain ilv80 gear and need only ilv55-60 to enter, and multiple content through which ilv90 weapons will drop. All of this should make the gap between the ilv70 DL gear and the ilv90 Coil/Myth gear less of an undertaking to close.
