I think after you mentioned an increase of 15% - 20% damage by using HQ griph gear he took away the "%", rounded the number down to 15 and made it his new theory.
Its your fault! XD

Not really, you can easily calculate the amount of damage you would deal by factoring your average potency.
You then take the potency, and modify it by str/wpndmg/det etc.
Once you have that average number, you then apply buffs/debuffs accordingly to get a rough estimate of your damage.
I have the gil to simply buy the accessories should I desire to; but I do not see it as being worth acquiring the accessories.
It is good that you realized your original statement was a poor one, cause then you'd have to admit that another one of your broad assumptions was wrong.
The irony.
I am always impressed how people like you can so easily hold a grudge over the internet.

Leiron either you can test it, because you have the gear to do so, or you cant.
Everyone that tested/used HQ griph gear can confirm it is indeed a big improvement, and can be considered BiS.
You - on the other hand - are pulling numbers off your ass, pardon my french.
Everything else is babbling.

You...don't need the gear at all.Leiron either you can test it, because you have the gear to do so, or you cant.

Str/det/wpnDmg is linear.
You can test it using only level 40 gear too if you felt like it.
From what I can tell, the increase isn't quite as linear as it was initially thought to be; esp. when it comes to determination. Valk's initial formula that was extrapolated from beta phases works well on the lower end for a rough estimate, but at the higher end (esp. with a lot of det) it seems to drift further and further from what we actually see in-game. Concerning "tank" job damage, I guess it's a bit more accurate than it would be fore pure dps jobs because of itemization, but people have reported some of the higher IB numbers being noticeably off point (something like 50 or more points off on the damage side, iirc) from where they should be.
Leiron, what kind of DPS do you think a fully STR geared Warrior can pull in an offtank position? Like, max DPS in two minutes?
