On my server only one FC has legitimately defeated Twintania. It is an accomplishment, but also a huge gear check.

It sucks seeing everyone running around with a relic.
I guess that's how mmos are these days.
Adventure, that's the life for me!
Even if it is easy, I still prefer this to the path you had to follow in 1.0. That was just so damn annoying because there was just too much random to it. You had to do exceedingly well in Hamlet and hope it was your turn with getting a token... then repeat that two more times. Then repeat it another three more times after that at the other two Hamlets. Then you needed to drop 25,000 company seals on an item, a book, which was only available if you were an officer. You had to have the sacrificial weapon melded, which wasn't as easy as it is now. And then you had to fight Ifrit Extreme, which I'm sure will be returning in the coming update. I never did get even one token and I lost count of how often I ran Hamlet. Still, relics aren't meant to be the end-all, be-all weapons, not un-upgraded relics anyway.
I don't think guy knows what is left and right when it comes to making games. School must of been difficult for you but this thread is just stupid, another trash thread from you.
We come from the land down under!
I do think that they should make Relic harder to obtain, but then again they do need to add MORE difficult content. What I mean by this, is that currently coil is the only difficult content (turn 5 specifically), there needs to be more content, other than coil, that is difficult.
Specifically, I'd really like to see SE take more advantage of this beautiful open world that they have created, yet no one uses (I know, I'm speaking for end-game people here). "I need to go do (Insert end game primal/dungeon/instance here)? Ok, I'll go to revenant and shout, or just Duty Finder it".
Edit: Depending on how Crystal Tower turns out, might be a good option to add to Relic quest to make things more difficult. Additionally, EM Primals are definitely something I'm looking forward too, will have to see how difficult these are. However, I still stand by my open world comments, currently there isn't too much use for the open world.

Don't give up.
Not expecting EX primals to be overly difficult.. simply because they give weapons equivalent to relic+1 (by ilvl, not necessarily by stats).
The Allagan buff is appropriate, but even with the bump in ilvl unless they re-balance the stats, some of those weapons still won't be overly useful. I have the Allagan Spear for instance.. without pretty much perfect gear for every other slot, it is useless in T4/T5 due to the huge ACC loss caused by switching it in for the Gae Bolg +1.
So we shall see. ^^
Relic should be a long/hard quest to get the best weapon in game.
Beating the hardest content on game should net you a relic upgrade.
Any drop beating the best relic version is a design flaw.
Don't you agree?
No. I very much like the ability to have full Relic/AF gear this early in the game. Gives a lot of definition to the classes. If SE were to say that the Relic is now and forever the best weapon we'd never get any new content, what would be the point of doing it?
The Relic + should be slightly less powerful than Allagan weapons. You need to kill the HM primals to get to Coil, so, if you do it right, you'll have the normal Relic as you enter into Coil. And then, by the time you get to and defeat Twintania (or in the very least, by the time your farm produces the Allagan weapon), you get to upgrade to a +1 while waiting.
It seems like proper progression to me.
It's funny from a lore/immersion stand point. You are supposed to be making your own journey, and their claim to fame would be that the "Warrior of Light" paid off some far more skilled and unsung heroes to let them tag along, then took credit for it. Scandalous!Even so, I know people who buy/sell Titan wins. I don't get that. Why play a game just to have someone else do content for you. If you want to play a game that plays itself or other people play for you just go watch "Lets Play" Videos or streams of top teams/players. The fact that you buy a win for an item or drop has always eluded me.
If they item isn't sell/trade it is for a reason. The item is more a symbol of your accomplishments. Every time i see a Relic I should think. "Man that guy beat Titan Hard Mode"
Now I'm like "hmmm wonder if he bought his relic..
