You can't be serious OP. I consider myself a casual and have 2 +1 relics. So yes allagan weapons should be the best weapons you can get. And they probably won't be stronger by much. What like 1 attack damage more? Lol

No. I very much like the ability to have full Relic/AF gear this early in the game. Gives a lot of definition to the classes. If SE were to say that the Relic is now and forever the best weapon we'd never get any new content, what would be the point of doing it?

You missed my point.
I'm saying relic should get upgraded as new content becomes available, so that the relic +X can always be the best weapon.
So I don't mind allagan being better thant relic+1 as long as we get the opportunity to build a relic +2 stronger than allagan.

1 attack damage is serious business. That's +8 DPS. So a parse with 222 will be 230 after allagan.

Technically speaking, Allagan gear is a type of relic, from the 3rd astral era. Not as clumsy or random as a gun blade; an elegant weapon for a more civilized age.

Those "other" relics from the quest were clearly inferior, they failed the test of time and decayed to the point of being worthless, then needed to have the power infused into a new form. So they aren't true relics, in my opinion, more like replicas, and the stats should reflect that.

As log as we can upgrade our relics to +2 status or something else in the future, then I have no problems with Turn 5 dropping slightly better weapons. I'll just keep working on getting all my 9 relics until then.

Punishing us because they add 5ilvl to a weapon that only a select few have? ...whatever, that's not punishment. Punishment is taking something away, and not adding something new for us to work for.

Except about half the classes already did. It doesn't really seem fair to me that Relic+1 is best for BRD/WHM/WAR/DRG/BLM, but MNK/SCH/SMN/PLD get lumbered with the second-best-in-slot weapon. Now at least we are all in the same boat, welcome to the club!

Won't be outdated for me. I only have one job that's geared for coil. Can't wait for CT so I can replace that awful darklight tank armor.
