HT>DiS>BFB>Life Surge = Full Thrust= 1k+ hit
HT>DiS>BFB>Life Surge=Power Surge= Jump= 1k+ hit
Im not lvl 50 yet but im sure dmg relies on Race and point you placed into str. <^.^>;; net speed may also contribute in overall dmg.Drg and Mnk play very different. Drg is slow big hits, and Mnk is fast little hits. My mnk with 4 i90 pieces including relic+1 has never broke 700 damage on a crit. My fresh to 50 drg with titans spear, DL acc and AF broke 1k crits first time in AK.
Drg has more abilities they use on a regular basis but their uses is more strict(combos). Monk can use whatever they want as long as certain conditions are met.
I like both but for farming purposes my lower geared drg is WAY better than monk.
Pretty sure mnk is gonna lose blood for blood come 2.1 because of brd.

Just due to the high risk high reward nature of MNK versus the more consistent nature of DRG, as well as DRG having superior solo ability and again, consistent damage versus a wind-up period, etc, MNK will always maintain its higher DPS ceiling.
The idea is MNK is less expected to operate at full capacity during content (due to mechanics forcing the loss of GL3) whereas DRG is expected to both bring consistent DPS as well as increase the DPS of any BRDs in the party.
Depending on content, and party composition, both have their place. However, if topping parses and pushing the boundaries of how much DPS a single person can bring to a raid is your thing then it makes sense to select MNK, since it has the highest DPS ceiling. On the flip side, if you like doing strong, hard-hitting moves that show big numbers and prefer consistency and reliability over risk/reward then DRG is for you.
Im not really sure why they would allow other jobs access to a cross skill and leave just BRDs out. If MNKs lose BFB, will this hurt MNK enough to bring them on par with DRG? Or are the numbers that far apart?
Because no other DPS class in the game has 3 DMG boosting OGCDs (Raging Strikes, Blood for blood, and Internal Release) Not only that they have barrage as well, and a OGCD DMG skill that resets. Give DRG and MNK Raging strikes and watch the melee is OP QQ commence.
So the number of buff cd's is the case? Not the dps outcome at the end?
Sorry just have to ask, not trolling.
To OP; Drg and Mnk is both top notch dps classes, find the playstyle u like of those two and make ur choise. Atm mnk is a bit Ahead of drg in pure dps, from what i know. Cant go wrong either way between those two![]()

I think so because over all bard do not outdps many classes in long fights.
