walking from gridania to Ul Dah sounds painful, please dont assume everyone is as masochistic. Mounts would make a big difference in traveling as it is roughly 60-100% faster in most games. Besides chocobos being a FF mainstay, which warrants their implementation alone, this increase in speed would make exploring this world alot more appealing to others. Right now walking the copy/paste world is not worth it, If people atleast feel they are doing it faster it comforts them atleast some what. Chocobos will just help this game psychologically more then anything, regardless of their function.
