How long do mounts take to add?

What's done is done. Whether or not it took 5 years or two is irrelevant, we're still waiting on Chocobos, and we'll have them in the next couple months. While I also think Tanaka wasted a lot of time as well, we've been complaining about the same things for the last 9 months. Yes, you've waited 9 months so far. Wait a couple more. The battle system changes in a couple weeks should be enough to keep you entertained for just a LITTLE bit longer.

While I understand what you are saying, waiting 9 months +++ for chocobos/battle systems/content/ANYTHING is a huge factor in why this games retention rate for customers is between 5 and 10% that number could (most likely will) go lower the longer they wait.

I understand your frustrations. I've been waiting just as long, I bought the CE, I was let down at release as well. And yeah, 1.18 is probably a final straw for me. If they don't seriously pull something out of their hats, I'll look elsewhere until the game is so beyond fixed that I'm surprised. But at the same time, I try to stay optimistic about how good 1.18 will be, and the other changes this summer if 1.18 manages to make me happy. I just think the bickering about whether or not it was 5 years or 2.5 years got out of hand, and that at this point there's nothing we can do except wait it out and hope for the best Chocobo system we could get. I HOPE Cardaies (my apologies if I spelled that wrong) is right. But right now, even though I'm itching for chocos as well, my main problem is the lack of being able to be social with my LS during a group, not getting from Ul'Dah to Gridania on a chicken. I'm hoping to see a boost in players too, but I think that will come with the PS3 release more than anything else.
