i tried doing a disk defrag and a disk error check. even spent 80 bucks for a pc shop to check all the hardware in my pc.If this happens to you after "any" maintenance, even those that do not touch any file on your PC, it's a coincidence or a placebo effect. If no file is touched there is no connection between your system and their servers.
If this happens after a files update, then your PC may seriously suffer disk fragmentation.
You could try defragging it after the update and see if that helps.
