There are a lot of dragoons around 'cause EVERY SINGLE turn drop at least ONE dragoon item. So boring.

the example was 18 seconds of nonstop movement starting from the moment a SMN casts bio, although you are correct, I did forget to include the pet.

I can tell that summoners being way to good good does not benefit me in anyway as I am competing against them for party spots. If they where way out of water better than BLM that would lead to me never getting into raids at all. But I guess that is something a Paladin does not have to think about right now considering almost all pugs wants two of you and 0 of your opponents, warriors.
But yes, this is why people complain. Everyone wants to gear up their mains you know.
The SMN could also Swiftcast a Bio2 onto the target which would be a 210 potency DoT over 18 seconds. So every ~3 seconds the SMN would be doing 35+40+80+100 potency whereas the BLM, assuming he Swiftcast Thunder3, would be doing 40+100 every ~2.5s with a chance to do double damage on Scathe, and get a Thundercloud proc. The SMN could also use Aetherflow on 200 potency Festers instead of 150 potency Energy Drains. The SMN could also use pet CD's. You are way oversimplifying things.
However, I don't think there's an encounter that requires 18 seconds of non-stop movement at regular intervals, so it's a pointless example.
