I absolutely loathe the beginning of WP when it starts with no communication and you have to basically stand around for a while checking if the tank is pulling packs or if we are immediately going to start killing the first 2 tonberries or what.. also seems like tanks don't do gear checks on the DPS either, even though I was in OK gear and the tank was decked, the healer and and other DPS were basically running in their AF and even got a mapping the realm achievement once winning, yet the tank just goes ahead and pulls 25 mobs and yells "that deeps, people."

Also, is it just me, but 90% of the time in DF when they start attempting a speedrun, it actually goes slower than a normal run, due to all the deaths and whining? Bah, just pay attention to the gear and maybe re-asses the situation after the first pack of mobs, dear tanks.

I like to go at a pretty fast pace, right after downing the first pack I pull the next pack, It's like taking a brisk walk into WP. but some DPS takes matters in their own hands and aggros the second pack while we are in the middle of the first, I thought I set the pace, but nope, gotta have tomes NAO!!! which means a 20-25 min run turned into a 30-40 min run real quick, then the guy leaves and has to wait 15 min+30 min for a tank. Very fast run huh?

Well I like to think that when I run DF WP, I never do "speed runs" but I DO do fast runs. As in, I group up certain mobs together when I know there is enough aoe and the healer can handle (usually 2 packs at most etc). My groups almost never wipe and even on the occasional time we do we still finish the dungeon in about 20 minutes pretty comfortably. I do however raise an eyebrow if I pull a small group and the blm decides to single target them one at a time and never use flare. Makes life harder for the healer and for the tank.

It totally goes so much slower in DF if someone decides to do a speedrun. Especially if they don't tell anyone. I really don't mind speedruns at all, but you have to say "hey can we do a speedrun?" and if everyone agrees, go do it. But if someone disagrees, tough luck you are in duty finder might as well reach a common ground because it's just going to take a lot longer if you force people into a speedrun because there's probably a reason they don't want to do it.

they really need to make an option in duty finder so you can select, what is your goal here in the dungeon? speed, casual, or first time

then people can select what they want and nobody has to argue or be forced into playing the game a certain way.

How I see the new abilities:
Asylum - Get ready for my holy spam because that's the only healing you gonna get.
Aero III - I guess I should put some dots up before holy spamming.
Assize - I need more MP to spam holy even more, also stop getting hit in the face.
Tetragrammaton - I guess I should heal that tank now.
Stone III - There's less than 3 mobs left alive. - Ragns Meuhie

    on topic:
meh. speed runs. a pest in duty finder.

I just hope with the changes in 2.1 it doesn't mean that people don't just all of a sudden start queuing only for speed runs. -.-

I'm just going to go ahead and chime in here that I don't much like you as a player. If I were in your group, I'd most likely let you go boom. Especially if you're antagonizing the tank with your antics. The only people who get to decide if we can have 2-5 groups in a pull is the tank who has to manage the group and the healer who has to heal through (and perhaps DPS down) the pull. And if a player is going to try to make that decision for me, I will just just grab 10 more packs of mobs, run them to your AOE spam, and shroud out and giggle. Sometimes, wipes can be fun.

Yeah not sure why people do that . Usually I just rez and carry on like nothing happened . If someone else in group wants to start drama then they opened a can of worms .

I like joining DF that are in progress because you don't get a penalty for leaving them .

hah this is the truth, been paired with tanks in WP that cant hold the aoe aggro or get smashed trying to pull half the instance, or someone trying to do the boss wall lockout 'trick', and messing it up everytime...just do it the 'normal' way if you have to use the DF for gods sake
