I had the best healer in the world my last WP run, A Blm kept running ahead and pulling groups of mobs I spammed to get hate then Bam, Blm dies. I say "sorry about that" he says "stupid noob tank learn to hold hate". Blm runs ahead and pulls only to die again. I'm wondering WTF is up because it happens 4 more times THEN, the SCH says to the Blm "hey assclown, it's my fault you're dead I'm healing the person who is meant to tank damage not some moron who charges in like a fool" The Blm leaves we get a Smn and rest of run was smooth lol.

I force a semi speed run on people when tanking , I'll pull to bats , then 2 more groups + 1 tom , then 2 groups to boss . If BLM in group I would skip trash but 90% of the time they are sleeping themselves and don't sleep .

So many times ive had to fight first boss with adds because of dumb BLM.

However if someone complains about me going to slow I will give them speed beyond their wildest dreams , and they will die .

WP Tanks take note. This is how its done when you duty finder it. Also you have to be a terrible healer if you cant heal 2 groups of mobs... It really takes no effort in a semi-speed run which I consider a quick run which I do all the time.

I think the confusion with people here is speed, quick and normal. OBV with speed run you would have a full geared party with relics... otherwise you are just wasting your time. I shout for speed runs in toll. A quick run is pulling two groups which cant burden anyone if you have an aoe dps there. Now if you have a party with two melee jobs then by all means do a normal run which would be killing mobs where they are not pulling extra. This thread is filled with a bunch of cry babies...

Tonberry's to birds>beetles to pugils+grease>then to the door does not equal a SR. that is a normal run. This is about people DFing and expecting/forcing SR type pulls. Under-geared tanks running from the start to the mobs after the beetles(usually before swiftcast+prot & ss can be cast) then bitch cause they wipe. can I heal that. I'll make sure to take note next time I DF WP and I get 3 people in AF because WP is the next progression, I will pull and play as if they know what a speedrun is when I can tell they barely started lvl 50 content by the message that appears "you have people new to this duty". I will pop sprint and run to boss gate. Expect them to hit boss and sleep mobs while the mobs get locked out and I can continue my speed run. This is a great idea. And nothing can go wrong and if it does it's because they are bad and of no fault of my own.

Oh and saying that the minimum I should do is ask if a speed run is ok, makes me a cry baby, and my ego is hurt so I cannot do that.

Saying you have a different stance depending on the situation is a completely different story.

Glad you can see that things differ. The issue is people trying to force runs. If there is no issue with it people wouldn't complain. I dont complain when every one is on their A game and they try and pull everything because I know the full allgana WHm can holy nuke/heal and keep me and himself alive while the double BLM burst things to oblivion where to be honest i just spam flash all day.

The issue is when people try and force it when it shouldn't.

I did a Pre run where people barely hit 50 last night and people wanted to see cutscenes, and a dragoon started complaining. Hell want a speed run?, make a pre made. He then pulled a boss to cut off people from cutscenes to trigger the next ultimately locking out people on boss fight then he left half way through the fight leading to a wipe.

Luckily we had great players with top gear helping the new guys and we made a very drawn out annoying encounter into a fun one, good jokes, and just being friendly.
