People forcing SRs in DF

I find the ppl who are forcing speed runs mostly get to the first or second chest and leave if they get or don't get what they want, well in ak anyway.

There is also the tanks who speed rush thru and call you a bad healer for not keeping them up. I went in on my whm (which I was still in af with a crappy weapon at that point) and the tank wanted to pull nearly the entire floor up to the first boss and couldn't understand why I couldn't keep him up. I just said forget it and left after 2 wipes and getting some nasty name calling. Tanks need to understand that not everyone can keep up with them especially if they are not geared properly and if you want to speed thru, don't use df to do it.

Im am at the point where if tanks want to run ahead foolishly or dd want to pull more and more til they are overwhelmed, go ahead and bite it. Im not stressing out in WP cause you wanna be a jerk. As a healer my queue time is ~5 minutes anyway

i love going tank and hearing people tell me to speed run, and i do my casual pull style.......they can leave if they dont like it, im a tank, i can get back in dungeons instantly

and a bit of irony, some people will spend upwards of 30 mins looking for a tank for speedrun on my server, for a 15 mins run, rather than 10 mins looking for a tank and doing a 25 mins run.......great idea, spend more time looking for a speed run than it will take to complete the dungeon

As a tank, mainly 50 PLD, it bothers me when people force speed runs. It bothers me when people even with relics don't ask for it. I am geared for it, have a combination of allagan, and relic+1, AF+1 Heros and DL, All my gear is iLvL 70-90. I do coil and get 50 myth per floor, and I don't need to do speed runs to cap myth to reach my 300 limit, I don't need to be on my A+ game as if i was doing coil. Hell a laid back run is more than welcome.

I don't know any of my Duty Finder teammates. Sure the healer might have a relic, but can he keep me alive while 10 mobs are hitting me? Can the DPS kill everything before the healer runs out of mp and I run out of cooldowns? I honestly don't know. What I do know is 50% of the mobs can be slept by the healer if whm or the dps if blm, and if not I can easily tank 2-5 mobs with just getting cure 1's. That even with GC weapon DPS my relic can help take down Demon Wall. That even if I have 20 stacks on Toneberry King my Hollowed Ground can save me. I know of my skills and my abilities. Of my experience and my play style. I think others should be aware of what they can do as well and not rely on me.

What if I am a bad Paladin and when you do that pull I don't provoke or I fail to take hate. That pull just caused your death.What if the WHM Holy was too strong and I can't take hate, or worse I don't have Flash equipped on my cross bar/hotbar because of my play style, you don't know. I'm not saying I do those things, but what if.

If you see a full relic party and want to speed run, ask. It takes 2 seconds. If you want to nuke as a healer say so. If you want to AOE mobs let us know. We play a multiplayer game to play with other players. If I wanted mute NPC like players.. I would be playing FFXII. If you want a speed run and for people to do what you want them to do. Make a Free Company, ask people to join it and you.

Maybe I Should just queue on my hoplite gear and Garudas sword.. or Ifrits...

Oh well lol. I do agree with the OP to an extent.

Basically i do ask people if they want to speed it up or not. IF they don't want to i am totally fine to go slower, if people can't keep up with SR.. i will go slower. The thing is, if i go into DF-Runs, i am doing it because i have some spare-time and not in a rush. If i want Speedruns i most likely do it with my FC.

No matter which Job i join with. I am usually fine with either way of doing it, but people need to start talking to their Party. It will not hurt anyone if you do a normal run in 20 minutes or a SR in 15 minutes, as long as the whole group wants to do it on the same pace. People are really butthurt if they have to slow it down by 5 minutes? Good God.. that is pathetic lol if people do not have 5 minutes to spare, they may should consider playing single-player Games, since they obviously miss the point of playing "together" with people around the Globe.

If i have some retard running ahead of me and trying to forcepull faster, i will let him die period. I had a few guys trying that and they did it once.. maybe twice.. they either will leave or keep it at the pace the groups wants to do it. Not everyone is that stupid to slow down a group by goofing around for the whole run. And basically the most people who do it on a slow pace don't care if they need 10 more mins, if they have some Leeroy entertaining them.

Probably because you have a decent Tank who understands his role is to protect the team regardless if their team mates are not looking out for them...

Whats the deal with that one guy always trying to force a speed run in WP DF run, don't they know its better to form a group of EXPed players to pull it off perfectly?

When I say I don't do SRs in DF there is a reason for it, and its most likely that the other players are under geared. You can still clear it in 20-25(maybe a little shorter?) minutes provided there are no wipes and people keep up with my steady pace that I'm comfortable with. If I wanted a speed run I would have asked for one in Mor Dhona.

I would like to thank those that tried to force this SR then quit and shortened my DF queue. I am actually the one who got the join in progress for this very run. Lol small world.

For speed runs, I normally run with a premade. If I DF on my PLD, I check to see the gear of the group and class composition. If conditions appear to be good I'll attempt a speed run (and if not, I opt for a normal run). If it looks like the healer is struggling, I slow it down (or if someone asks to slow down). If I DF as my BLM, I let the tank set the pace just because that's the polite thing to do.

I don't like pushy DPS or healers. And no one should be expecting speed runs in a DF group to begin with. More often than not, the DF pugs I come across are geared just enough for the dungeon and not for much more than that (there are exceptions, ofc). And to expect them to do speed runs is ridiculous. I do firmly believe that if you want a speed run you should make a pre-made group.
