Here's how people made millions in 1 month, my story.

I invite you to take a pencil and a piece of paper. As well as everyone else who can't seem to figure how people made millions in 1 month. I'll even do the math for you, you just need to copy what I'm gonna write and just say OOOOOOOOOhhh I get it! But please feel free to ask me for more explanation if need be.

So, 2 days after release you already had a lot of people that got lvl 50 on either DoW or DoM. They started their relic quests and BAM, need 3 darksteel ores to make 1 nugget (I think it's for the paladin and black mage relics, correct me if I'm wrong).

At this point, every fresh 50s have 250k-500k from main story and selling materias. A couple of days later, I hit 46 miner (people were actually sending me tells since I was lvl 42 to ask if I could provide darksteel ores, they found me with the search tool because I was the highest lvl on the server).

Once I hit 46, I started mining darksteel ore and was the only provider for the whole server for about 5 days. So here are my prices:

3 DS ores on market: 13k each
3 DS ores to player who sent me teels directly: 10k each
3 DS ores to some friendly FCs: 7k each

At this time there was already a huge load of 50s, waiting for DS ores and spruce logs (I think) for their relics. I made 400-500k each day ONLY with DS ores, selling them only 3 at a time. I sold to HUNDREDS of people on the market and I have a lot of high end crafter friends that can confirm it because they were going crazy at the market history for my mats.

I was the only lvl 46+ miner on my server for 6 days if I remember correctly.

So at this point it's 450k x 6 = 2700000

Now, I was also the only provider for gold sand (9k each), gold ores (9k each, cheaper for GSM friends), coblyn larva (15k, mining pet and yes people bought them, a lot), grade 3 matter (4k each), clusters (1k each).

I must have made around 3 millions selling all those mats so now I'm at:

2,700,000 + 3,000,000 = 5,700,000

I made around 1 million selling lesser tier ores too since I was also the first one to unlock electrum, cobalt, etc.

5,700,000 + 1,000,000 = 6,700,000

Then I was also the first one to unlock HQ rare mining mats but there was not a lot of crafter that could use them and by then there was around 3-4 other players that were selling rare mining mats. I was still able to make good money because I had regular client (mostly the 3-4 top gsm on the server) always in need of gold ores. From all that, I was able to get another 1.5 million.

6,700,000 + 1,500,000 = 8,200,000

Then I began to do the story quest and lvl paladin, I always took the allegan pieces when I could in the rewards and only stopped the main quest for the timed rare mining nodes. The story quest gave me around 350k and during that time I was still selling mats but at a lower pace since I had a lot of competition.

8,200,000 + 350,000 = 8,550,000

So i was able to get to his point within less than 2 weeks, by then there was plenty of lvl 50s, lots of competition so price dropped a lot. I really wanted to hit the 10 millions cap just to see the 8 digits and for the FC/personal houses since we have no price tag on those yet, it took me another week to make the 1.5 million I was missing.

Then another week after I got suspended, saying I cheated or boted in some way and you know the rest (gils divided by 100, no explanation, everyone kept their mats/gear from crafter, etc.).

It's not because you can't understand how people did it or if you can't do it yourself that it's not possible for other players.

Now don't come at me saying 99% was corrupted, it's tottaly impossible, that would even include money from quests. SE screwed up hard, did no investigation at all and just took 99% gils off of lots of player. If we had been caught red handed, our account would have been banned.

I didn't read your whole post but it doesn't take much more than common sense to realize that server-first high level crafters/gatherers would be filthy rich because they have complete control over the market for endgame materials, most notably for pre-relics.

Yeah but unfortunatly some players can't seem to figure it out.

Filthy rich without really trying, just had to main a Craft or Gathering profession at launch.

SE doesn't care HOW you "legitimately" made the gil. They care about the SOURCE of the gil. As far as the method/decision they used to seize gil (/100) only they can explain that, if they even bother to.

you probably did business with cheaters in some way or another, so the money you had was basically dirty in some way. so you weren't banned, but the money was confiscated. its like how if you sold a car, but the money was fake. its not your fault. just be very cautious of who you do business with.

I don't care at this point, the phone support tell me to contact a GM in-game and the GM in-game tell me to contact phone support. They clearly have no clue of what's going on.

By all means remove the gils if it came from someone who bought gils but it's clearly impossible that everyone that bought my mats also bought gils from RMT. That would also include the NPCs...

Sure you had to pay a price, but bots and RMT are now 100% gone from the game. And only the rich had to pay the price, so really, what price was paid at all? Sounds like a perfect solution to me.

You realize I was selling mats and got rich selling that hundreds of players? It's impossible for me to check where their 30k came from since 30k is pretty easy to get.

If you sell a car 20 000$ and it's bought with dirty money they will take back the 20 000, probly open an investigation if it happen often but they won't take 99% of the money you made so far along with it...
