Q29: Considering how common the relic weapons are lately, it seems like there’s no point in trying to obtain the weapons that drop from Good King Moogle Mog XII.

A29: The weapons that drop from Good King Moogle Mog XII will be item level 80. On a related note, we will be increasing the item level of the Allagan gear from ilvl 90 to ilvl 95

I don't know how much of a buff but that should make things better. Cause a lot of people don't like that Relic gear is on par with Allagan.

Any think that this change will be good or bad?

To me its good cause now even more reason to get T5 down. But I Hope I haven't wasted my Myth tomes on BIS relic gear.

According to the stream, Yoshida did in fact mention this upgrade to item level 95 was to be for Allagan weapons only due to the difficulty of turn 5, whereas the text on the Japanese and English Q&A post indicated equipment in general. Just to be certain, we will double check with Yoshi-P and let you know for sure.

They admitted broken RNG so they're only making something more valuable to the lucky ones. Not the ones who also put in the effort every week.

The point is more that those of us with terrible luck with coil have been forced to use mythology tomes on AF2 just to keep up and that gear would now be inferior. Anyways, hoping it's just a bad translation and they meant Allagan weapons (which would make a lot more sense).

They are making it slightly better than the stuff we get by spamming easy dungeons so we can't say we have nothing to do for the next 6 months.

You know what else they could do? Let me maniuplate my stats or customize my character in some manner.

But "the current biggest sub based MMO" (not gonna name it) is doing the reverse, they are taking out stats customisation out next expansion:

- gear will have 1 gem slot max and gems will now be rare
- removing reforge (abilities to change stats around a piece of gear)
- raid drop gear will now be "random stats" (item A drop this week with haste and accuracy but next week it can be crit and haste).

So yeah looks like even "that very big MMO" decided that letting players adjust stats themselves are bad.

So it's awful, even the only thing they are changing, is making it better.... Your Relic weapon won't get worse, and there are no content after Coil, so it's not like you are in a hurry...
