    How well music fits doesn't factor in to whether or not it is 'good' music in any way whatsoever. Mediocre music is still mediocre, even if it fits a zone perfectly. A good example of this is the market music (in FFXIV). It fits the market perfectly, but it's still excessively bland.

    What's getting old is people constantly holding up FFXI as what FFXIV should aspire to be. The constantly push to make it more like that game instead of letting it iron out its flaws and become its own game is hurting it right now as much as anything else.
