... I cant even remember who this boss is, i rly think ppl only used to wipe in aurum vale... never tough any other dg would offer more then 2 wipes...

First boss is the fat dragon that is in the middle of the room that you have to drop down into his room to fight him. And Stone Vigil is not the kindest to individuals that have a difficulty of actually doing positional awareness fights. I ended up having to do it three times in the DF because of people just not knowing or not reacting fast enough. The mechanics don't really allow you to screw up the moving part of the bosses in there.

So no, I'm not that surprised the OP had issues. It's frustrating in some senses but it really teaches you a thing or two regarding getting better as a gamer in an MMO setting.

More often than not I've found myself wishing you could have cross server functionality so I could add people to my friend's list, rather than black list people. Granted, there were a few blacklisters in there, but for the most part I've met some really nice, fun people in DF despite the horror stories.

Had a hydra wipe, down to 2 ppl, boss at 3%, dps dies at ~2% leaving just the tank, and he manages to finish the job (somehow avoiding a lot of hits in the process), I was impressed.

We were on Turn 1 last week and screwing around for some fun and were wiping. The boss was enraged and he had about 5% hp and killed both the tanks and was running around killing everyone. He killed everybody but the whm who was running in Huge circles and managed to get a swift cast raise off on the dragoon. The dragoon popped up and hit LB2 just as the whm was dieing and he turned around to hit the Dragoon just as LB2 went off and the boss died milliseconds before killing the dragoon. It was the best epic fail win I ever saw lol.

Had a similar situation on my group's first Caduceus win. One snake down, MT and one healer down, other healer out of MP, all the other DPS dead, somehow I have hate as BLM with the snake having a sliver of health, pop Manawall and just praying I can kill it before he kills me. I triumphed.

your story reminded me of a similar encounter in that guild hest challege where the normal and acid bubbles come out.. i was playing my dragoon and my friend was a white mage.. we didnt say anything thinking the tank and black mage know what the do.. unfortunatly they didnt and so many little ooz mobs came out and they were all over the place with the boss still smacking the tank.. they all went straight to the healer and killed her in an instant then ran off to the black mage who started panic kiting them in circles.. i managed to chase him and killed a couple then i died myself *mage still panic kiting* then the tank died *mage still panic kiting* the healer came back and got enough MP for a couple of heals to heal herself cuz the adds turned to her after her first heal.. she died again *mage still panic kiting* me and the tank came back and went straight for the adds we managed to kill a few and only 2 left then we both died... healer came back and got killed by boss again * mage STILL ALIVE and panic kiting* then finally tank came back and managed to grab the boss and i managed to kill the remaining 2 adds chasing the black mage with this only the boss remind alive andthe mage finally settled down and stopped ..we all focused on the add-free now boss and killed him.. but i must say the reason why me and my healer friend died so many times is because we couldnt focus cuz we were laughing so hard on skype at the mage who magically survived for almost 5 mins panic running in circles with an army chasing him and failing to touch him... to make things worse he was a lalafel LOL i was wiping my tears at the end.. it was one of the most FUN runs i ever been to.. and told my group who seemed to enjoy it aswell haha

You can wipe in any dungeon where people are brand new and don't know how to play their classes or pay attention - Did you know? You can die and wipe in Ifrit, Garuda and Titan too!
