Uhh. How is this variety? They're reskins, hell not even reskins, they're just perma-dyed versions of armor we used to level up with. These armors have been used since 1.0. Variety would be having dungeon themed armor, but instead we get this.
Oh I'm sorry, did you miss the part where they added new dungeons so you have a choice besides AK/WP?
Yeah, uh huh. What's out of line is bitching when people have yet to even run the dungeons yet. Who's to know if they didn't add some awkward mechanics giving it some sort of challenge, who's to know to they made it piss easy? Eh, I'd say SE if anyone, would know more than all the assumptions being thrown around over a number. Point is, I find it stupid to complain about something no one has any actual idea about, and basing things on something as hilarious as a number.Yeah like people bitching about people bitching right?
You are right, there really hasn't been anything overtly challenging in this game. Titan was just a latency check and a complete derp check. Coil 1-4 really is fairly face roll and T5 is funny.
Still not out of line to ask for an actual Hard Mode to be exactly that....Hard.
Even if it is i48, who the hell's gonna complain having entry dungeons that give ilvl 60 as opposed to ilvl55 that wp gives(which is your current tedious entry 50 dungeon)? I know this might sound unthinkable, but bare with me here, there's lots, and I mean lots of players that would benefit from that.
Going off their current track record on non "hard mode" 50 dungeons that require roughly the same item level, it's pretty easy to assess that it's not going to provide a challenge to those that have already collected Darklight Armor.Oh I'm sorry, did you miss the part where they added new dungeons so you have a choice besides AK/WP?

Mechanics aside, you will already have more than adequate gear to trivialize the encounters.
Look at WP for example....people speed run a dungeon that is supposed to take 45+ minutes to complete in 15 minnutes or less. Also I wouldn't call WP a tedious dungeon at all...The only unforgiving and tedious thing about that dungeon is people not watching the tonberry stabbing you in the face.
Also who is going to complain about having yet another avenue to get ilvl 60 gear for dungeons? Probably those that are already decked out in Darklight and are looking for something to do besides grind the same old dungeons for Philosophy/Myth
All I'm saying is the gear requirement is ackin for something other than "Hard Mode".
Also funny how you are going with the "wait and see" mentality on the difficutly when you yourself even stated that nothing in this game is hard....but I wouldn't expect anything less from a White Knight.

I have a wait and see mentality in general, especially with this game with how 1.0 turned out and then comparing it to 2.0. Less expectations you have the less disappointed you'll be if something happens that's not to your liking.
There are plenty decked out in DL, sure. Who's to say these hard modes won't give more myth than the "normal mode" 50 dungeons? Who's to say people won't find a way to run them faster? And as I said before, you won't really know how tough they will be until you play them. Just too many unknowns to grab pitch forks right now.
And on that note, I'd like to add that not everyone is decked out in DL, there's plenty of less seasoned players that will get to enjoy said content to it's fullest, and plenty of seasoned players that'll end up running it on other jobs. End of the day though, we're not really going to know what SE considers hard mode until we play it, primals aside, we have nothing to really go off of.
I've just beaten T1 for the second time and found it fairly hard, now your post made me feel badYeah like people bitching about people bitching right?

The hardmode dungeons are designed to be run in AF, though. It'll probably be just as hard as doing AK with full level 50~55 gear.
I'd be somewhat satisfied if they did drop more Myth. I'd be more satisfied if the dungeon was actually challenging for seasoned MMO players. I'd be even more satisfied if the dungeon was actually itemized above AK. I am also not blind to see that what I want is completely irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. I just have to hope that what they provide lines up with me wanting to do it and provide me with the will to continue to pay for the service.I have a wait and see mentality in general, especially with this game with how 1.0 turned out and then comparing it to 2.0. Completely understand that there are plenty of people that aren't decked out in DL and they already have natural progression to DL with WP and AK. It would have been nice if they tiered the dungeons off and made these two itemized above AK and drop loot that was rather just below par say 65 or on par 70 with DL and allowed for a challenge that would be comparable to thise in that gear bracket.
Rift and WoW did Dungeon Tiers at certain parts of their lifespan and they were fairly successful at it, just don't understand why they have to lump more dungeons in for the lowest common denominator "the fresh 50". More to do for those that are fresh 50, but even they will quickly out gear and trivialize the content. Understand this isn't Rift or WoW, but there are elements of both in this game already.
Also the whole "seasoned players" can just run the dungeons on other Jobs thing from the community and Yoshi is kind of a cop out for not providing at least some effort to placate that side of the house. I guess we'll see how extreme mode primals pan out, but that's an actual raid and not a dungeon.
Apologies if it did. Unfortunately I've been playing MMOs for 10+ years and a lot of the Coil stuff is old hat. I am happy that it provides you a challenge and I hope it's been enjoyable and continues to be enjoyable for you.
Unfortunately I am a bit jaded with the content at the moment, because I am used to it being a lot more challenging in the higher end game content.
