[dev1079] PVE and Battle System Suggestions

After reviewing the video you posted, all the elements being showed are definitely things that SE can do for FFXIV. the only problem is due to the current status of the game and due to development and producer changes, something's like that video is a vision that SE should strive for. watching videos such as those, show what a really good development team can do with world bosses - and in this case a dragon.

FFXIV is a next gen game in which this can be done successfully. we just don't know if Yoshi P is really willing to push his team to that extreme to accomplish something of this scale. I know they CAN do this but with the current way this game is rolling, this may take a few months or even years to complete.

The only thing we can do is wait and see results of what is about to come. Yoshi P is fixing all the problems since the time he took over this project. All I will say at this time is that they need to have content such as this; battles that require more organization. We need to go back to 24 man alliances and mobs should not be easy to kill. If you complain it is too difficult just remember - in FFXI the expansion chains of Promethia IT WAS NOT EASY when it first released. The battles were hard but when you completed each mission, you felt a great sense of accomplishment.

Right now everything is easy. There is nothing hard in this game. This next patch to be released will make or break the game. The only challenge I am putting on the table is that you need to step your game up as there are many more companies coming after the people that really don't know what game they want to play. I have a lot of faith in the team and in you Yoshi P. This light tank and spank content is not going to cut it on a next gen game. Hopefully with the video that was just posted, you'll see what type of content most of us are looking for. Things need to be EPIC as this is what you will be remembered for. Therefore, I look forward to seeing the rabbit that you are about to pull out of the magic hat and leave every single player shocked and amazed.

Just keep us informed about what the dev team is doing.....more pictures.....please. Other than that, we will all be waiting to see what the new FFXI will be.
