    Not to justify it in any way, but SE customer service has been not-so-great since FFXI. It hasn't changed in over 10 years, so I just don't know why people are surprised anymore. Yeah, it'd be great to get in game issues resolves quickly, but sadly that just isn't this company.

    At one point I had to completely restart XI because their customer service took months to get back to me about restoring my previous account. You really only have two choices at that point: deal with it and keep subscribing or stop playing and putting your money towards the product. I'd love for their CS to magically get better, but if the past is any indication it just isn't going to happen.

    For the most part I'm happy with FFXIV, therefore I'll keep supporting the game despite some flaws with the company.

    As you say it is such a minor problem then it should take minor effort for SE to fix it then.
    This is normal stuff for MMO GM's/Support to deal with, SE have always had shoddy support and if they want to keep the people who are paying for services then they will have to sort themselves out.

    Mishini~ Your comments are well taken. I was actually directed in my fourth ticket that I should come here and leave feedback and comments. So that is unfortunately my only avenue. I also work in customer support, and I have to deal with the backlash when someone feeds a customer incorrect information. I do understand that, but this issue is so simple in its complexity... that I can't imagine why the first response from customer support is now being completely denied.

    Pseudopsia~ I have this sinking suspicion that you are right on this. I'm kind of unhappy about the kind of logistics this will take... Maybe very unhappy.

    SE has notoriously bad customer service. As in, godawful. It's really bad.

    And I do mean /really/ bad.

    It never has, and I fear isn't likely to ever be one of their strong points. If something goes wrong for you in-game, you're better off just taking the hit and moving on. Speaking from my own experiences, any contact with SE support will only result in you ending up worse off then you were.

    A guess, but it seems the problem is in the policy. The GMs I spoke to wanted to be helpful, but it seemed as if they weren't allowed to be.

    Yes this! They are horrible, they disregard simple requests that should be fixed, and you'll have better luck talking to the rock on the ground vrs. their in-game support!!

    Maybe just maybe this is some peoples first experience with SE Customer service not having dealt with any games prior. That is the most logical thought.

    I have to say I love their games but you guys arent kidding, they have the worst customer service I've ever dealt with. Hopefully you get your issue sorted out OP but with past experiences with SE customer service, I wouldnt hold my breath.

    Yeah, but you don't have to deal with it to know it's bad. I have tons of friends who play other MMO's or who are just casual gamers and they've all heard of the legendary bad-ness that is the CS dept from many sources.

    It boggles my mind that you are even able to hand FC Leadership to someone who is offline. For a transfer of something that important, both players should have to be online.
