    Looped BG Music Revisited

I posted lots of feedback specifically around Looping the BG music in dungeons rather than the same boring battle music.

    So we have 2 songs
Dungeons 15s - Haukke Manor Battle Song 1

Dungeons Haukke Manor - Aurium Vale Battle Song 2

The DEVs didn't want the unique dungeon music to become repetitive, so instead we got silence and the same battle music.

So, here we are 3 months later.
    Were they right?

Or was the battle theme 10x worse than unique dungeon music that only lasts 30 secs?

It'd only get repetitive because its a short loop. A lot of FF games have dungeon music you can listen to constantly and never get tired of even if you think you do, you'll end up wanting to listen to it again. The problem is, the battle music is a bit of out place since it was used in dungeons with silence (open world ones) in 1.x, whereas the dungeon music flowed into the battle music and vice versa, simiar to what it does in the coil.

Personally, I think a better solution would be to give each dungeon unique looping music, but give it the treatment the dungeon music in 1.0 had. Every dungeon had the same dungeon, so yeah, there should still be unique music, but in 1.0, the music changed gears (while staying in perfect time with the out-of-battle music) whenever the party aggro'd a monster.

I'm assuming it was simply two music tracks, composed to the exact same tempo, and the game plays both at the same time, but the upbeat one is kept at 0 volume. When the battle starts, the volume for both tracks were swapped, and then again when the aggro was gone.

There was a live interview that I watched a recording of where the new music guy said that each area would have a simple tune that would get more intricate and involved the further out into the zone you went... That idea seems to have poofed entirely. Definitely needs to be in a content patch soon.

I stopped listening to the very boring dungeon music after 2 weeks... now I got youtube running instead.
The first 15 secs for the dungeon music is good... then comes the standard boring battle music. Nope, dont like it one bit.
