Same here. lol. I now use it as Swiftcast + Adloquim when i'm running WP or anything I think the tank needs a bit of curing and I have to move out of the way. Titan fight when I have to Swiftcast + Succor after plumes. Anything useful.Raise was the reason I got Swiftcast. And yet...its the thing I use it least on.
In WP speed-runs, I'll Swiftcast a Cure 2 on the first pull, then heal like normal (that first heal we're still moving into position and grabbing mobs, so it helps to be able to land a Cure2 while moving). I'll also Swiftcast Stoneskins onto the tank between pulls. And during the Slime boss, I'll Swiftcast SS onto myself if targeted by the Slime. Then there's Swifcast Holy that's used everywhere...
I also Swiftcast Medica 2 during Stomps on Titan if I need to quickly (like if the other heal dies or we really need another heal fast), or during Turn 2 if its needed. I don't like Raising during either of those fights, so I'm not opposed to using the CD there.
I don't think anyone is doing it wrong. Every WHM is going to have a different preference, and a comfort level with how they actually go about healing. If you read through this forums it's clear the community does things differently. I think what we can agree on is don't prioritize a DPS over a tank in terms of heals. Tank > Healer > DPS > Lalafell.
Whether or not we're talking about using swiftcast on cure or medica is a matter of opinion. I've never seen the need to Swiftcast/Cure, but I like to keep the tank around 70%+ without over curing. I tend to use Stoneskin a lot rather than bombing cures to begin with. I'll always SS to mitigate damage (rockbuster - I'm looking at you!), or Medica II the group in Turn 4 phase 5/6.
Resummoning pets on SMN/ACN and quick Medica/Medica II's on WHM are my most common uses.
I don't like macroing abilities together in general, since pressing two keys isn't much slower.
Using Succor/Medica/Raise/Resurrection while running is quite nicealtho I use Swiftcast on Shadowflare quite often as well is quite fun use it as often you can or save it for certain situation you could tell someone "might" die xD

I use Swiftcast with a lot of spells. If I know I probably won't need to raise anyone soon, I'll use it for summoning pets, Stoneskin, Shadowflare...just a lot of random stuff.![]()
The biggest draw for me is a mobile heal, like dodging bombs and landslide in titan, and casting adlo to top off the tank and shield for the incoming mountain buster without sacrificing mobility. Dropping instant raise is nice, but ideally, you shouldn't need it in the first place. Also, it's on a 60 second cooldown, which is pretty short, so don't be shy about using it unless you need to save it for incoming damage spikes.
If you're a scholar it helps when Eos dies too.
Ok - swiftcast raise macro... What happens if swiftcast is on CD? Does it just cast raise normal? Same question for any swiftcast macro?
**edit**
NM found this in the macro thread:
I love macros that take advantage of cooldowns. For example, here is my Raise macro:
/macroicon "Swiftcast"
/ac "Swiftcast" <me>
/ac "Presence of Mind" <me>
/ac "Raise" <t>
/wait .8
/ac "Raise" <t>
Here is how it works: If Swiftcast is available, the macro will activate this and then Raise; it will not activate Presence of Mind and the first Raise because Swiftcast is still in its casting phase. If Swiftcast is still in cool down, then the macro will then activate Presence of Mind before casting Raise. Finally, if both Swiftcast and Presence of Mind are in cooldown, then Raise itself will be cast.
