Swiftcast

I'm on my way to getting switcast, and thinking about its best uses. The most obvious one is raise, but I was also thinking it might be good to use for an emergency heal, and save all those buffs, rather than just raising?

Personally, I'd really like it to be macro'd for raise in combat. Anyone have good siftcast macros they'd like to share?

I only use Swiftcast with Raise and Stoneskin, sometimes. Tried to heal with Swiftcast but it's useless.
Remember that when you Swiftcast, you just have the effect at the beginning of the cast instead of the end of the cast, but the recast time is still there.
So using Swiftcast+Cure>Cure is like using Aero>Stone, you have to wait 2 times the recast to heal again.

Swiftcast your biggest heal for those osnap situations for tanks

Swiftcast your biggest group heal for those massive damage spikes to the group (espically if your not good at precasting)

Not much else I can think of doing for a WHM. For a SCH you can do the following:

Swiftcast Eos/Selene

Swiftcast Shadow Flare

Our 20% HP heal is already instant cast, so thats all I can really think of.

Yeah, Raise and then a desperate Medica II is what I have it for.....other cures are reasonably quick...but I have used it on a CureII when the tanks taken it in the face and got a gnats hair of HP left.

Well, I tried Medica II against Titan but you lose the heal rythm and take a lot of aggro, so I peronally think it's not that good.
And yes, I forgot Swiftcast+summon, it's really useful when you have to change pet during the battle.

As for titan, P1-2 use Medica and once only each time it stomp.
P3 use Medica2, also once only.
After entered P2, use shrould imme as if u did it correctly u should be on the edge of OT. Once its CD off, use it again...Then u shouldnt need to worry about enmity anymore.
For P5 stomp, use Medica2 once then spawn Medica~
WHM in P1-2 is highly restricted. It's risky if someone made mistake and u try to give more heal to cover it up.

I already know perfectly well how to heal Titan, I did it more than 20 times now.
I was talking about Swiftcast+heal, which I think is not as good as it might seem.
And I use Medica only at Geocrush before P4, in P3 it's not required since people get 2000-2300 HP damage that can be easily healed by 2 healers. Never used Shroud of Saints, never got aggro from Titan.

In WP speed-runs, I'll Swiftcast a Cure 2 on the first pull, then heal like normal (that first heal we're still moving into position and grabbing mobs, so it helps to be able to land a Cure2 while moving). I'll also Swiftcast Stoneskins onto the tank between pulls. And during the Slime boss, I'll Swiftcast SS onto myself if targeted by the Slime. Then there's Swifcast Holy that's used everywhere...

I also Swiftcast Medica 2 during Stomps on Titan if I need to quickly (like if the other heal dies or we really need another heal fast), or during Turn 2 if its needed. I don't like Raising during either of those fights, so I'm not opposed to using the CD there.

Same here. lol. I now use it as Swiftcast + Adloquim when i'm running WP or anything I think the tank needs a bit of curing and I have to move out of the way. Titan fight when I have to Swiftcast + Succor after plumes. Anything useful.

If your standing still swift cast really has no use...swiftcast holy is nice. Revive is a given but don't macro it. I had issues where animations and latency would screw it up on me.

The best use of it is a mobile heal like instant medica II when your running from aoe. Or a heal moving period while repositioning.
