    [To the devs] Implement this system to help those with bad luck with loot

    My suggestion is to add this system that help those with bad luck at getting gear from chests: for example

    Person goes to coil and gets zero gear from first chest he gets one point called good fate and with each time he collect points lets say 40 he can exchange them from new npc hold all that dungeon gear and trade those points for the geae he wanted after going 40 runs without getting it

    Why not just make it so that for every day you log in you get to pick an i90 piece of your choice? Logging is hard ya know, they should definitely give you some reward for manging that.

    btw I do agree with OP that Coil loot system needs to be changed sometime in the future and I am sure it will (maybe not actual drop/loot system, but entrance rules so that one can enter T1-5 multiple times in order to farm gear). It won't get changed before new Coil turns are out and new, higher, drops are available, though.

    At least this is what I read between the lines of Yoshida's declarations.

    I disagree, for one we already have tomes and honestly they really suck. You run the same dungeons over and over and they are always the same and never change. The points if you dont get a drop I can not support either. Currently there is no reason to have a system like this as myth tomes are easy to get and you can gear up with those. The coil gear is as it should be except it should not be on par with myth gear. Currently we have the easy mode myth gear and the coil gear but the sad fact is both sets are practically the same. What they need to do is if the hardest content in the game drops gear there needs to be a difference stat wise that makes the gear that drops in the hardest content superior. The current drops in coil is fine it keeps it interesting I would not change a thing about it.

    Only 1 drop for me in 3 months as a WHM. I don't mind as long as the myth gear is the same ilvl and I can eventually get it.

    What if... it would give extra roll bonus? for example: 2 Tanks, 1 drop... they both roll need. One must lose.
    The next time a tank item comes and they both roll need, the previous loser would get 10 extra roll points... for example:
    tank who won previous loot rolls: 47
    tank who lost previous loot roll: 38+10 (extra points from losing previous chest) = 48
    And it would add extra 10 roll points for every need failed. Something like that and balanced.
    It would reset once the initial loser wold get an item.
