Give another job a silence move!

So far to my knowledge only Paladins and Bards can Silence. Selene can but no one is going to rely on a scholar using that gimp fairy to silence... Maybe Monk or Blm can get a silence move. Actually I dont understand why BLM doesnt even have it in the first place...

Monk has a silence move

It just isn't as efficient as PLD/BRD because it is on GCD and means they lose DPS when using.

Probably because Silence is typically a White Magic spell. I assume we'll be seeing it if Time Mage ever make it to Eorzea though, maybe Conjurer will get it when the level cap rises though.

If it only was on gcd would still be something. You have to be in opo opo form to trigger the silence effect, so it's totally unreliable. They only fight where mnk can silence it's ads, and even there he have to focus only in that and leave be dps

Four jobs have silence moves, and there's silencing potions for emergencies. Also, you can actually solo silence every single content that requires silence with a single monk.

Haha, yeah kind of hard to tank while silencing and tank switching in Turn 2. Although it is fun at times. I love it when there's 2 Bards in a group but then that means some people will be left out in certain groups.

So what? some jobs are good at certain things. It shouldn't be the case that all jobs are good at/can do everything.

Black mages should have silence. The way the game has some of these debuffs set up is stupid. Black mages get silence! It doesn't even make sense a monk can silence. And its a pain in parties. To easy to miss with everything else going once. Once again SE uses logic in an amazing way. Thanks SE!
