Here's my proposal and problem.
The proposal is - Like Astral Fire/Umbral Ice you get 3 charges, gradually increasing potency of the effect.
So, how about, Firestarter and Thundercloud get these as well, a separate icon that appears for them. You cast Fire 1 - FS procs. You hit Fire 1 again, it happens to proce FS again, so that's another charge. Etc, once you get to the cap, you can blow it off.
The Problem:
Maybe it's just for me, I don't know. Maybe it really is a PS3 problem, if it is, then XIV team, fix this please. Because there are -alot- of instances, in dungeons, that I'll cast fire 1, get FS to proc, but I'll already be in the middle of another F1 cast.
Do I break my spell, to hit FS? That seems reasonable, interrupt, use FS, go back to casting F1. Problem here, is that it makes a nice delay gap in between the actions while the server is catching up to what I'm doing. Sometimes, by interrupting casting, the next cast wont even go through at all, it just blotches completely and I have to sit patiently for a few moments while the system rights itself so I can start up again, weakening my overall DPS.
Honestly, it almost feels like a latency issue between me and the server, but I dont make those claims mainly because I can dodge stuff like weights all day if I'm paying attention. I've never had a latency issue in Titan or anything else that others claim trouble with. But this..this gets me a lot. And when I say a lot. I mean every time I play.
tl;dr
Firestarter doesnt show up as a proc until I'm in the middle of another fire 1 cast. Interrupt causes me to get stuck between actions. Same with thundercloud. If I cast Fire1 and ignore the Firestarter. Firestarter can proc AGAIN. But this does nothing for me because it doesnt stack. So please. Stack Firestarter and Thundercloud.
Yoshi-P said it himself, BLM's are only for DPS, nothing else. Thats all we're good for. So let us use our tools more effectively.
(I do not make any general statements of generalization between other players. I'm sure I'm a minority and other players, pc and ps3 alike do not have issues like this arise, or at least, aren't willing to say anything about it. But it irks me. I hate losing Firestarters because of the delay proc.
