The additional hp is still a buffer to your margin of error, which comes into play with the rng on attacks lining up as well as the human factor. If you need 0 buffer then you're essentially saying that you have 0 errors among your group. And at that point I would figure you have TT on farm and you're just trying to speed up the farm, or you're having issues with some of the dps checks which I would check on dps tactics first.

It's a perfectly valid tactic to purposefully have your tank sacrifice tankiness/take more damage in order to increase dps on an encounter though. There's tons of examples in MMOs such as ignoring tank switch mechanics, standing in ground effects to maximize melee dps, single tanking multi add scenarios.

I'm just not sold on the benefits in this scenario, and I want to be 100% clear that this scenario is purely about Ehp vs DPS and that the avoidance gains from additional STR/DEX should not weigh in at all. However this is based off our group, if our tanks and healers were a bit more geared and we still had issues hitting enrage I would probably be on board to try anything at that point.

Yeah because you can use Hallowed ground before every death sentence...

5.7k Death Sentence means there was no Stoneskin before the Death Sentence. Which is itself bad play already. Hit the 6.4k HP (Paladin or 7.9-8k on Warrior) requirement, and keep your Allagan accessories until they either decide to buff its ilvl to 95 (Still not sure if it is good) or when more contents that do way more serious damage is launched.

Unmitigated I've seen 6.3k on my PLD. Not exactly common though.

They wont buff allagan gear, only weapons.
Im still not throwing away allagan accessories of course XD

Completely unmitigated(except Shield Oath) Death Sentence hits a full itemlvl90 PLD with 6.5k ish.
