I was reading somewhere that "a good crafter can HQ with NQ ingredients" so that made me realize maybe I should be going for max yield, not HQ. Thanks for your input. : )

Most of the unspoiled stuff is one star and I can say I would rather have more than better when trying to pound out HQ. There has been enough 70%-98% NQ trash and enough 15%-25% HQ flukes to say it's either 100% or pure chance. Considering most are in the 1-99% pure chance group even with HQ material, it's better to just have more mats to throw away.
