PLD vs BLM grief = DRG TK Tank...

I was in a Wanderer's Palace run this morning (10:30 AM PST-ish). I ended up in a party of all Relic +1s (PLD, WHM, BLM, DRG). The BLM was Flare-Happy (and MP wasteful, using it right after a Fire 3 with full MP instead of minimal MP), the PLD wasn't Flashing. We only had 1 full wipe (Tonberry King) and 1 death of WHM & PLD (right before the Tonberry King room).

They started griefing each other right before the Tonberry King, then the PLD was like 'I'll show you Maturity' and just AFKed at the respawn point. I had to drop out of my Spiritbonding and equip my Fending Darklight accessories so that I could have 5,000 HP and the rest of us finished the King... I really wish the Vote-Kick feature was in game to have booted this tank to get another one... He didn- in my opinion deserve the 50 Philo and 30 Myth he got for sitting out the fight.

Look him up on lodestone and report him in game using his name and server. If SE support is quick to respond to one thing, it's players harassing others. AFKing like that goes under the 'being detrimental to the progress of other players' part of the TOS. Not an exact quote, but it's close. The one time I reported someone (about a week ago) a GM messaged me within the hour.

I had some troll party crap doing garuda PLD and 2 others guess all in the same FC running around armorless just attacking garuda for who knows why.

My wife is a warrior, I'm a Brd, She says she knows how the rest of WP is going to be after the 2nd pull.
We did it with 2 people in AF
WHM in AF + Ifrit weapon
BRD in AF + GC weapon

one wipe mid boss

explained to run to middle and who to cast holy
and the 2nd brd to spam AOE
for when adds pop.
The WHM said ok.
BRD was need to kill blue 1st

Kill all quickly as we died 1st time not because blue was alive but because my wife and healer where slow and paralyzed.
They kind of got it and 2nd time went much better but other brd just worked on Blue not understanding killing everything helps that fight so much.


Having gear with so many people Buying them is meaningless.
The run took about 45 mins. Didn't care had fun running it. Also these people where trying to get better vs the people in your party would have left before 1st boss.

Just so you know, the reason the BLM was using Flare directly after Fire 3 is because at 3 stacks of either Umbral Ice or Astral Fire, the next spell in the opposite attunement has 1/2 the cast time. Combined with the delay between the cast of Fire 3 and when it deals damage allows you to cast both Fire 3 and Flare at double speed.

But yeah, best thing to do would be to find and report the tank.

The highest AOE damage rotation for a BLM uses Flare at full MP lol.

Blizzard III -> Fire III -> Flare (double dipped UI3 so it's a fast cast) -> Transpose -> Blizzard II -> Blizzard II -> Back to Fire III/Flare
