Straigus messaged me in game and he seems like a genuinely decent person. I'm more than willing to believe that whatever happened regarding him was overblown or entirely mistaken, and Ryuuji's response here is exactly what needed to be said. I don't think anything more needs to be said about Galena, he digs his own hole.

I've got better things to do that 'troll' a guild.

However, my first response was to draw the guild leaders' attention to a possible problem in their guild. Seeing how it's addressed, now leads me to believe the issue is known and -encouraged- within the guild.

No, I don't have screenshots. Do you take screenshots of people in every failed run you've ever been stuck in? Didn't think so. I didn't realize this guy was gonna be a problem until the runs were over, and I found him later in Ul'dah, selling 'guaranteed' wins.

What's happening, whether condoned by this guild or not, is not right and it's not fair to players who are trying to work their way through end-game material.

So I misspelled his name? He hacked my Titan HM run. Are you honestly going to defend him and people like him playing by unethical tactics?

I actually had the displeasure of running with him twice then. The first time I didn't think much about it. Failed Titans runs happen all the time. It wasn't until the second time when a Safire Saf said they had a highly geared monk that could help. I thought the name sounded familiar but it had been over a week at least and have tried many Titans between that time.

I'll start using fraps more often. But it was easily evident that Straigus Reyist was ignoring the Gaols. I know this because one time he did attack and it did melt. One time out of I don't know how many. He also liked to hang around the tank in the front trying to draw the land slide on them. That's the only reason I think for a Monk to ever be in the face of Titan. The group didn't have what it took. Shortly, after that I was hanging around RT and heard him calling out selling runs. And found out they were both part of the same guild.

Not encouraged, it simply does not happen Dunlyn. But yes we do sell guaranteed runs, and members in their offtime do runs without the FC or with a member or two to help out. It's all positive public relations, they help out and play to their fullest. I can guarantee you that you saw a tag from a FC that sells relic progression (a practice that is a mixed bag, both frowned upon and looked on as positive), and decided to pin the failed run on him.

And Clouse, the proper way to do Titan is to attempt to bait the landslide during post-heart either to the side or the side-front of the rest of the group. Check out any of our Titan videos on YouTube and you'll see that is a common practice for us, and for many other FCs.

Instead of outright lying and blaming someone for a failed run, why not talk to them about it? Instead of making a failed attempt at publicly stamping your feet on the playground?
