So, about allagan weps being increased to ilvl 95

It's great i think that beating turn 5 should have some kind of reward other than a side grade, and I'd love to be able to get the wAtk boost that comes with increased ilvl. My only problem is that as a BLM the allagan weapon is a 1-hand so I'd need the shield for it to be useful...... the shield that no one can find.

As far as I can tell no one has found it, even in turn 5. At least according to this thread and spreadsheet.

Enough people have cleared the content at this point to know the caster and healer shields do not drop. It makes sense for whm considering both their allagan and relic are a 2 hander but with blm only their relic is, making the allagan one still subpar when paired with an ilvl 60 shield.

My problem is that I'd definitely use the Allagan Scepter if I could but without the shield it would be worthless. The weird part is that the shield is in their item database but there's no way to get it.

Do you think a Penta-melded Darksteel Buckler and Allagan Scepter be better than a Relic+1?

I doubt it the stat caps on shields look to be pretty low so making up the 3 int you'd lose would be pretty difficult.

Have to factor in how much weapon dasmage ilvl95 will give, if its 2 more then itll still do more damage overall with 5 melds, or should match relic+1 at the very least.

That may be true but my problem is that every other dps class gets a clear boost in their allagan wep where BLM has to penta-meld a lower lvl shield to get a side grade.
