Relic quest Gerolt refuses to let me start the quest.

Hi there,

I have received the relic quest in vesper bay and gotten the follow up in revenant toll. After that, I went on to hand in the 'promise of payment' to Gerolt.

He is suppose to give me my relic quest according to my class, but no shield icon appeared above his head and talking to him yield no result. I have checked the walk through from other forums and even watch a youtube on it.

I have met all requirements to start my quest.

I have posted question regarding the bug to the in game GM, but I was instructed to post it on the forum. Since my FC needed me to progress through the game, I needed the relic quest to carry on. I've asked the GM if they could reset the quest so I can start from Vesper Sand again, but they say that it will disrupt the game mechanic.

So now I'm stuck here waiting for a reply/Suggestion on what I can or should be doing...
