It wont be easy but it is possible to beat Titan HM with WP/GC weapons. Gear just makes the fight easier. Most Titan wipes are before Heart (where damage is needed) and after Heart, and can be attributed to people missing an avoidable ability, and better gear just means they will die the next time they don't dodge.

If your luck really is bad, run it 30 times and no drop, then craft or buy a better weapon like an Alkalurops and meld it. Hopefully the minimum item level requirement will help in the future, but there are still going to be those people that have geared a tank, so they will use their useless vitality jewelry on their bard to meet the requirements to get into a dungeon and hold a group back. The one exception here is tanks. For damage dealers Titan HM is a DPS check. For tanks it is an armour check. Ideally a tank would want an Ifrit or better weapon, but if you are otherwise well geared it can be done with a GC weapon without any aggro problems.

Although I would agree most times, when you begin a duty it states players are new, and the way the duty was designed was not for speed run farming but to progress in the story. The reward is there for players to help each other. Also while in a cutscene chat is hidden and players dont get to see the complaints until after they type or exit cutscene.

Again I agree to some point, hence why I said expect item levels to be 10 or 20 less than what drops. I personally beat Titan my first time with Ifrit sword. Titan drops ilvl 70, and ilvl 55+ can beat him.

What I am trying to say is if you are in duty finder, this is what you can expect and how you should react. There is always pre-made groups.

Excellent suggestions. My one quibble is on avoiding guides/videos prior to runs. For most leveling dungeons this is fine, as experienced team mates can provide the few pointers needed.

But for hard mode primals (and I presume coil, though I'm not there yet), it is sadly necessary to go in the first time having been briefed up on the fight's mechanics. For hard end game content SE is (in my view overly) mechanics happy. Not learning what you can of them in advance will do you and your group a real disservice.

For coil I agree drastically, but it is not a Duty Finder dungeon. And again, people who encountered coil for the first time, didn't have a guide to beat it. So you shouldn't expect these things.

Mainly the guide/videos was to prevent spoilers, as hard mode fights we already know who we are fighting it's not that bad. There are guides that are spoiler free. I believe Eorzea source has some.

this is one of the sad posts i always see, and it just makes me feel bad for people..........most of the fights are not that tough to begin with, and some of them are simple just to explain...people need to learn to explain better rather than telling people to watch a video

and for those idiots that say "exp required" and then tell someone to watch a video, a VIDEO DOES NOT MAKE YOU EXPERIENCED.........

I always try to be friendly in DF but when you get a silent group it's so odd.. Feels like i'm playing with AI npc's sometimes.
