When I log back in again, the game seems to run fine, but I am running at a lower FPS range. I capped the FPS @ 60 since my monitor is 60hz and it ranges from 60-45 depending how intense the action is,but when I log back in after it freezes, my FPS ranges at around 45-30 fps. A quick restart of the computer fixes that FPS drop, but then I repeat the same issues. I will post specs at the end of this post. I do overclock my GPU and I feel that has something to do with my issues. However I do not over clock anything out of the ordinary and it's the only game that is affected by this as the others games run fine (no crashes).

I use the EVGA Precision X software to OC my GPU and my settings are set to this:
  • Power Target: 102% (linked with Temp)
  • Temp Target 81*
  • GPU Clock Offset: 100 HMz
  • Mem Clock Offset: 160 MHz

Here is my computer specs:
  • Intel i5-4670k @ 3.4GHz
  • eVGA GTX 780 SC 3GB
  • Asus Maximus VI Gene
  • EVGA 650W ATX12V
  • 1TB Seagate Barracuda (game storage) & 128GB Samsung 840 Evo SSD (for OS)
That does sound like a driver problem (Kraggy beat me to it!). Your graphic driver may be crashing (screen goes dark) and reloading (FPS takes a hit) due to a corruption or other issue. Try to clear your graphic drivers of your machine and reload to the newest drivers available.

It may be worth it to listen to your computer too. When my OC software isn't configured right, my CD-ROM will initialize causing a framerate drop and sometimes a driver crash (though the more I tweak with settings, the more convinced I am that it's my GPU overclock software when I'm running the core frequency too high).
