Why is race and nationality ignored so much in the lore? (why does the lore fail)

Guess you never played two worlds, That game truely was a failure in all aspects of it. FFxiv is better then two worlds. If it was worst then I would claim it a failur.

tbh only the community can truely make the in game fun. If the community isn't fun, then the game wil not be fun. ffxiv comunity isn;t that good. ppl barely talk, only groups are for 40+ on raptors. And getting a convo started is like pulling teeth.

ffxiv coulda been tons better just by having a fun community. You guys are from what I can tell, do not really enjoy what the game does have. People game in ffxiv assuming it will be just like ffxi and it be fun. The reason ffxi was fun was because the community made it fun, flaws and all.
