Dev Team Request: Please Fix Timeout Issues for Logging Back In!

Forgive me if this has been asked already but I'd like to ask if the devs can consider lowering or removing the timeout phase between logging back in during a disconnection. My internet died for a moment thus disconnected me. In issues like this it can take almost ten minutes to reconnect. I don't recall ever having to wait this long in any game, not even FINAL FANTASY XI. So please, either lower or do away with this issue. I don't see why the game can't boot your idle persona as you attempt to reconnect. It's a pain and really hampers gameplay when you gotta wait for the server to realize you're no longer there.

I think it is because your character is still techi loged in and take times to fully log you out. But ya i had this happen and it is annoying. And yes this was talked about.

I'll sign it, but from what it looks like to me is probably a networking problem.

I have this problem a lot when my internet disconnects. takes me like 15min to get back in game. Realllly annoying.

Did the devs say anything? Like if it can be fixed or whatnot? It's absolutely irritating.

I've had this problem lately... Ordered a new router since the current one is randomly rebooting every hour or two. I don't want to join a party because they're not going to wait 15 minutes for me to log back in.

Create a second character that you can log-in to after being disconnected from your main.

I agree, though, this definitely needs to be addressed by Square Enix sooner or later.

This issue is being caused due to your character staying in the world upwards of 15 to 20 minutes after a disconnect. As the poster above stated, logging in a second character on your account will forcibly remove your stuck character so that you can log back in. Stinks to have to do, but it is better than waiting it out.
