try telling that to people against jumpImmersion isn't based on how closely tied to reality the gameworld is. Immersion is a state of mind where you always want to keep going, no matter what. If you've ever played a game for hours on end because you kept telling yourself "Just one more level", or "After this next boss", or "Once I reach a save point", or anything to that effect, then you were immersed in that game. The presence or non-presence of a feature, or that birds float or hover rather than sitting and resting when they aren't moving, and other acceptable breaks from reality, is inconsequential to whether or not a game provides immersion for its audience.

Copy pasta. Jump doesn't ruin immersion for me because in real life I'm more likely to scoot down a hill than jump and break my neck or ankle while hiking. Then again I don't beat monsters to death all day either in real life so who knows. Mainly the copy pasta and only a couple things: rivers in gridania, road cuts in LL, slopes in Uldah
These forums and incomplete game ruin my immersion. @.@ Once it's fixed and fun, I don't care what's in it. If it's entertaining, I'm immersed. ;D
Probably one of the worst things for me, which I forgot to include in OP, was the Depth-of-Field.
Even with highest settings, you still get a sharp line between the high-res textures and low-res textures as you move.
There is no natural blurring.
It's pretty annoying.
