You do Vesperia.
All the nitpicking for small and unnecessary side features really pulls me out of the game.

Not being able to poop in game. I poop in real life my human character in game should also be able to poop.
I have 8 crafts at 50. All I did was watch T.V. and spam standard for easy mode synths. Enjoy leveling those crafts in 1.19 and beyond everyone!

A trollpost by gifthorse every day, wondering how in the world he seems so completely unable to move on from a game that he evidently doesn't like (and even more evidently he won't ever like, because the devs will never apply his outlandish views).
Well, I guess it's defined "obsession".

What is so outlandish about deleting annoying mobs and trying to create an immersive (as opposed to jarringly fake and contrived) gameworld?A trollpost by gifthorse every day, wondering how in the world he seems so completely unable to move on from a game that he evidently doesn't like (and even more evidently he won't ever like, because the devs will never apply his outlandish views).

Unless by outlandish you mean awesome.

No, I mean outlandish, especially considering the fact that your idea of "awesome" is watching a character climbing a rope for one minute straight.

Immersion isn't based on how closely tied to reality the gameworld is. Immersion is a state of mind where you always want to keep going, no matter what. If you've ever played a game for hours on end because you kept telling yourself "Just one more level", or "After this next boss", or "Once I reach a save point", or anything to that effect, then you were immersed in that game. The presence or non-presence of a feature, or that birds float or hover rather than sitting and resting when they aren't moving, and other acceptable breaks from reality, is inconsequential to whether or not a game provides immersion for its audience.

Map markers during quests and the leve screen after talking to a quest NPC.
Both of those make listening to NPCs completely pointless. Good plot isn't just good writing it's good writing implemented into the game not a book glued on top of it.
not really.... even with pout those chance that ppl actually read npc dialog is slim.
