Um, I might have a reading comprehension about this but where is the not allowed part in that EULA?i doubt it theres no way you can make a macro to do that with only 15 lines. your friend is a liar. but lets pretend that perhaps he can.
Here is Square Enix's Botting policy in the EULA: "2.1 Cheating and Botting. You may not create or use any unauthorized cheats, bots, automation software, hacks, mods or any other unauthorized software or hardware designed to modify the Game and gameplay. In addition, you may not take advantage of game system bugs and exploits during gameplay."
so even if he is using the ingame macro system to do that its actually still not allowed.
You mean where he is not allowed to do this even though he is using macros?
if that is what you mean it is this little part...
" In addition, you may not take advantage of game system bugs and exploits during gameplay."
if that isn't what you mean then sorry for not understanding.
to be honestly i see this as kinda border line...maybe SE staff can look into this it would help clear stuff up?
I'm not really sure about that either, lol. Guess need SE's clarification on this one since I don't think using macro for attacking mob is against EULA or anything. well, it's not external program that is.
Yeah sorry, there aren't any in game macros that will allow you to execute actions for 20 minutes straight.
There are legitimate ways to use in game macros to target enemies, turn your character etc while using a controller without the window even being active. For example, a BRD could use something simple like this:
and they don't even need to have their monitor on to put arrows through everything around them. It requires continuous input however./targetenemy
/facetarget
/action "Misery's End" <t>
/action "Bloodletter" <t>
/action "Heavy Shot" <t>
That's probably it I guess. He didn't afk to anywhere tho, just alt-tab to his work. I reckon he just have that controller lying around somewhere and pressed it every now and then without alt-tab into the game to activate the macro again.
Lol they're leveling up their chocobos. They're lvl 50 and those mobs drop 2 gilWe're they both on the pillar near DD, chocobos out, and busy status on? Guy/girl combo? We can't name and shame, but I have a feeling I know exactly who you're talking about.
And if you doi mean "them", they've been botting pretty much since the 2.0 servers went live. I wouldn't expect to see them vanish anytime soon. One even replied while in town once, saying they get reported all day but nothing ever happens, while tossing out the obligatory "u mad" and such.
They might just have no life.. GMs actually investigate and talk to players; at least on my server.
But u never know

Nope
Reported this banemite botter for like 4 days now and he's still going strong. He leveled from 25-30 from killing low level banemites. These ban waves are no good, the bots already do the damage already by the time S.E does the next ban wave. S.E needs to get it together these guys are teleporting around all day without a care in the world.
