Extremely disappointed in my Dragoon after attempting T4

I'm wondering why people checks the "dps" on parse, because classes like bard lose a lot of DPS while using ballads, requiem, picking certain adds in T4 and so on...as a bard myself this thread is useless and every single class does highest DPS than bard. I have a DRG with a plain relic and AK greens/DL jewerly and can do easily higher dps than my BRD with 5 i90 pieces. If any class does less DPS than bard...let me tell you they are terrible at playing that class.

I don't know about you, but my DRG is a boss. We blow through T4 without any problem, and we don't even run a BLM or SMN.

Incoming buff is going to be awesome.

You could cheat and not give the bard the piercing buff =)

I got 3 wyrm pieces, hero's belt, relic +1, rest is full DL.

AoE dps : 600 under buffs, 400ish + without, single target varied between 270 - 300

You re doing it wrong son. Dragoon is extremely versatile, key in turn 4 is to know how to hit for the hardest in every condition under HT.

Free advice : engage a rotation only if you got 10 seconds left on HT. Use and abuse of leg sweep for that extra boost since all mobs are stun immuned. Use your jump straight after Disembowel if you got power surge available and apply phlebotomyse after.

The tools are here, be aggressive, adapt to deal as much damage as possible.

Turn 4... Isn't even an accurate fight to parse for a dragoon... Very little of it is single target dmg. The fight is mostly an aoe fest with the only single target being Knight/Soldier/Rook/Dreadnaught.

We run 1 drg, 2, brds, 1 blm on turn 4 and our drg does very very well and doesn't have all the gear you do. In fact, I love taking the drg because he does such good dmg and we can rely on him to lb at the right time, every time. And he can dodge stuff well and isn't dead weight in the group.

On top of that, melee is getting buffed, so I think your complaining/worrying about nothing.

You don't need to, with your gear you should be outDPSing your BRD a lot.



Almost around ~2 week parse on Titan. Less ilvl90 than I currently have and the BRD at the top was much more geared than I was. Also, no limit break was used.

I've never truly understood parsing on this game, Sorry if I seem like a dummy...

So whenever people in my party have posted links to parsers I've found it difficult to understand that top "Boss total" dps number. When I look specifically at the Titan or Heart or anything like that it seems much much lower than the "Boss total". I guess whenever I've seen a parser I've assumed the top number to be absolutely wrong and gone off the individual monster or the total damage output numbers.

Can anyone elaborate on these numbers so perhaps I can understand them?

In configuration, on one of the tabs is the option to reset after battle. You should turn it off
