Your experience with Chocobo leveling

I have leveled all jobs/crafts/gathering to 50, got all relics and dl already and the only thing I have left to level is my chocobo.

Currently my chocobo is rank 6. I have got to the point where it takes about 1 hour to get 10% of a level. Now I am grinding where the dark devices fate spawns because there is a lot of mobs that spawn there at a good respawn rate.

Is there any faster way to do this because 10+ hours for 1 chocobo level is pretty boring. Thoughts or experiences on chocobo leveling?

Do it while spiritbonding. That's pretty much it :'D

Just have to go out there and do it. Unless you can chain multiple groups in SS by yourself or with a group it will take 10+ hours to get it done. Reason why these things weren't capped till only several weeks ago, the grind is worse than fate grinding.

Grab some spiritbond gear and head out to Urth's Fount in South Shroud. It's the fastest way to level if you can get into a group for it, as there are many level 50 water elementals in the area.

Yeah chocobo ranking is a true throwback to traditional asian mmo grinding. The best you can do is maximize your mob kill speed as best as you can and spiritbind to justify the time expenditure. I'd love them to tone this gruelling grind down a bit frankly. There's no reason for it. OoOoh your chocobo is rank 10. You have such a competitive edge now. *rolls eyes*

I've used farming at Coerthas, Natalan as solo, sometime group. ( I still think its best place to farm as solo) Until I learn about Urth's Fount in South Shroud. (it was too late for me lol) I'd probably say Urth's Fount probably be the best spot for chocobo.
