Also, you didn't fight for exp. You fought for the drops. You'd stand around for hours and hours just hoping your group could get claim. Having a laggy connection could be the difference between success and an entire wasted day.

I am aware. T'was a terrible system. I'm just saying that FFXIV already has the leve system which is pretty much tailor-made for fair use of this, avoiding the problems of FF11's spawn camps.
