    dungeon tips and fun facts

    so, I see a lot of people everyday who either don't know about these fun little tips, or just completely forget. so I thought I'd post a few of them. most of them will make your party happy, or smooth out damage spikes, or just make a smoother run

    1) long cast single target spells can be completely cancelled without sutn or silence by simply moving behind or to the side of a mob. example: the psycheflayer in AK:
    his void thunder 3 can be completely dodged in this manner, which means youll never take that hit. combined with #2, the damage your entire party takes during this fight can be drastically reduced. any spell in the game can be stopped in this manner (but not abilities like eruption, plumes, etc) although most mob used spells cast too fast for it to make a difference

    2) the psycheflayer uses mind melt every 30ish seconds, which means for paladins, you can ALWAYS stop it with spirits within. if you have a pld tank, your party should never be hit by this attack.

    3) face the boss away from your group. many bosses have nasty conal aoes or conal instant attacks that can wreck non-tank party members. the final AK boss, HM ifrit, hydra, etc. it saves your dps form having to scramble out of the way and increases the damage they can do since they don't have to run

    4)mobs that exclusively use spells to attack, like the nymian souls in WP can be forced to you by going around a corner, it also groups them up so you can hit them with your aoe's more reliably

    5) some mobs can be attacked or pulled by/to the party without having to engage groups in front of you. most notably in AK. one of the hippogryps can be pulled through the wall to the party, and you wont have to worry about him aggroing mid-pull. also in AK some of the succubi on the top level can be killed with absolutely no retaliation by ranged classes in the room before demon wall, which means less linking and less void fira spam when you actually get up there. sometimes you can get real lucky and pick off an entire group form this location

    You cant silence mind meld. You can stun it. It's an excessive TP drain though and completely unnecessary unless your group (more so the healer) is under geared and under skilled.

    Do you know if it can be done with the "Everybody's grudge" of the tomberry king?

    you can silence mindmelt with spirits within. You just need to be quick about it.

    unfortunately, no you cant dodge everyone's grudge since its an ability, not a spell
