Fixed it rofl. Went to C:\Program Files (x86)\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XIV and changed the date in the game.ver file.

Found this on another page. So appears you should change the date in your boot.ver file to 2010.09.19.0000 so that it matches your game.ver. Then after the new patch goes through it should have the correct dates.

Well, if it pops a blue box then the patcher is up to date. If it wasn't able to update self it would be red instead of blue...which means its connecting properly. Sorry i didn't say ir earlier...for some reason i overlooked it.

If what Judge Xero said doesn't work, i'd suggest you reinstalling the game...because seems like its working but something is amiss...maybe something was corrupted during patcher update.

Well, this is correct. So it DL'ed it all and are installling...you're getting the error at this checking screen still? Error in this screen would only means that one or more of the downloaded files is corrupted...or else it just take about 20 min to check and install everything...

...or its exactly this >< Is your laptop plugged on energy? Sometimes the idle timer of it is what is messing the installation...sometimes the config is turning off stuff to save energy and ends up messing with it.

Did you "Right Click" on the boot.ver? Then you have to open the file into Notepad or any other text editor. Make your changes in there and then save the file.

You may also have to copy the file to your desktop first, change it, then save it, then put it back in your program files.

Sometimes you don't have permissions to alter program files directly.
