    2.1.. So what about crafted gear?

    Ok, we all been talking about CT ilv gears and stuff, so what about crafted gear?

    Are they adding new gears that can be crafted? What about the mats needed? Still coke, animal fats, etc?

    It will really blow if the new gears needed completely different mats. Then all those coke, potash, etc, which ppl send time to farm will be a complete waste.

    All pvp gear? No, I find that unlikely given that pvp is also a token system. You can craft pvp gear or earn it via pvp. Ultimately unless the crafted stuff is better than the stuff you can purchase I suspect it'll only be a viable market to entry level pvp at best. Considering that there's an "AF" for pvp for each class too it really really makes me doubt that crafting it is going to matter.

    The precedent has been set, gear is for obtaning via dungeons and token systems. The devs have laid the path out since launch and continue to do so, best gear will not come from crafters.

    there will be the treasure hunting that will give new mats and PvP armor will be craftable, they will tell more about it in the next live letter

    We get to play hope improvement while the ilvls keep rising on gear. XD

    For a producer, sometimes I wonder what goes through Yoshi's head to do things like this.

    The problem with crafted gear is unless they gate the mats behind hard content its currently open to abuse from gilsellers (just like it was in FFXI), since Square-Enix havent quite got a handle on that I think they'll be cautious about adding new crafts that involve top or near top lvl gear.

    Though it would be nice if there was some more added I agree.
