2.1 might bring choco respec?

So I saw the trailer from the live letter and noticed that chocos were quite prevelant, and in particular the AF bardings that most of us haven't been able to get due to the lack of info about the choco leveling part of the game.

It has been confirmed that a fix will come in a future update, and this was a while ago...you guys think we might see it in 2.1? Has there been any word? I'm 2/5 Wyrm pieces and I would LOVE to have that Dragoonsih style choco barding.

So far iv only seen barding for lvl10 chocobos, in Tank, BLM, and WHM barding. i dunno about any other barding option for fully leveled chocobos.

Maybe not 2.1, it is something in the works, but as for an exact date nothing has been set in stone.

I believe they said the BLM barding is one of those gifts you get for subscribing X many days. Or maybe it was a different one I don't remember now. I thought DRG was the DPS level 10 barding?

Yes blm is a subscriber benefit, they released that info this last live letter. The Drg armor is for melee specced rank 10 chocobos. No one sees them because its rare enough to find someone whose got their chocobo to rank 10 as it is, and the ones who have typically have specced full whm, or slightly less common tank.

Yeah chocobo ranking has to be the biggest slog in this entire game.

Atm I'm alternating between spiritbinding lvl 50 gear while ranking my chocobo ,and good old fashion class level grinding. Where rather than questing, dungeon crawling, or fate popping, you just kill one mob after the next, after the next in the true spirit of Asian mmo's. One benefit of this, is getting to watch two bars slowly increase as opposed to one, and the gratification of the class level bar actually giving you a level on occasion giving you a fleeting moment of achievement. The other benefit is having higher level alts.

I really have not been leveling my Choco. I got him to 4 for the quick heal, but full parties will never use Chocos as they are not needed and just block actual players from getting invited. I tried once to have my Choco out in a fate group - and was quickly told to ditch it even though it was only half a group and no one was on at the time to make full groups, so there is no point in the Choco except for solo content.

180 is Chocobo Barding (BLM) and The Fighter, White Mage, and Black Mage (FF1) minions. 270 is Grand Company leaders (all 3) minions, and Behemoth Mount (which I think looks horrid)

Full plate, DRG and WHM barding for rank 10.
BLM barding is 180 days veteran bonus.
