I am thinking about returning to FFXIV but unsure.

Before Returning I would like to know if there have been any major changes which make me enjoy my game a lot more.

1.) I am looking to find out if the game offers me cosmetic armor slots similar to Rift, and many other games that allow me to wear my cosmetic armor to be displayed on my character rather than ugly long black robes Some armors I honestly like more than the ones that look ugly and give better stats.

2.) I am looking for Customize player housing if this has been added yet.

3.) I am looking to be able to customize my characters appearance any time I want to from within my house, not a additional paid feature that offers one time.

I would be willing to pay $20 a month for all 3 features stated above if this game had them.

Have any of these features been added yet, if they Have I am willing to renew my subscription possibly buy two other people in my family the game/subscription, if not none of us will return we are looking specifically for MMO's designed with 2013/2014 concepts/customization.

I like the concept's that Final Fantasy XIV has, but after playing for the free trial from buying the original collectors edition of the game, There wasn't enough content, and customization to keep me around, but I enjoy the class changing, and crafting systems without limits.

As of right now, vanity slots are coming in 2.2, though some are working to try to change that with a petition. There's also a barber shop coming in 2.1 which will allow you to change things like hair and tattoos/makeup.

Housing is coming in 2.1 but only for FCs at first. There's other content and fixes coming too; pvp, new fates, quests, and dungeons. But if total customization is your main concern, this is probably not the game for you. They are more concerned with proving more content right now.

Thanks if they actually will deliver this in 2.1 the way I am looking for such in a RPG then I will return to the game and likely buy a year subscription. I really hope that SE actually knows what they are doing with these changes would be great to have custom housing similar to rift, and the ultimate RPG experience of being able to freely customize a character at any time no restrictions.

Any Idea around which date 2.1/2.2 will be released with these changes so I have an idea when I should resubscribe?

i strongly suggest not going back to this game,the only thing they care about is your subscription,i have a bug in my game the last week,cant make any gil,after emailing every support centre i could find,filled out 3 bug reports and the best answer they gave me was they dont give out hints and tips and that was after 3 days of sending me from 1 place to the next,they only care about your money

I don't know how to respond to this statement except with a question...you can't make gil because of a bug? I think I just peed a little from laughing so hard. Now if you have a bug AND you can't make any gil that's different because admittedly, there are a few bugs(what game doesn't have them) and get your ass off the couch and go make some gil like the rest of us by questing, guildhests, levequests and most of all, Play the Market!
I can easily suggest this game to anyone looking for a fun, immersive, wonderous world based on Final Fantasy.

Okay what kind of bug in this game would make it so you can't make gil? I mean if you sell something to a vendor, do you not get your 1 gil? If you complete a quest, do you not get the quest rewards? If you sell something on the AH, does the gil not get sent to you? (you do know the gil from the AH get's sent to your retainer and not your own characer, to get the gil you have to go to your retainer to pick it up)... do you do level 50 dungeons and are you the only person who doesn't get the 45+ gil drops from the mobs while everyone else in your party does?

Why the hell would anyone try to stop vanity slots? So everyone can look exactly the same in BiS, colors and all?
Can you please link to the thread? I'm curious as to what their thought process is. It seems ridiculous to me.

I want to stop vanity slots for one reason: If won't dissociate looks and attributes as far as City of Heroes did, then you damn well have to wear the looks of your attributes :/

That aside, what she is talking about is the precise opposite, a hugeass thread trying to pressure (futilely as they already said it isn't coming in 2.1) for the vanity system to come in patch 2.1 instead of patch 2.2. So they're more or less going "GIVE IT FASTER" despite knowing they won't get what they want.

Yah, pretty much. We're hoping they put them in faster since the code is already there and because of events like the Lightning Returns that gave us all these cool weapons and the two costumes that no one is going to really wear because they are level 14 junk, stat-wise (run on sentence runs on). It may be a futile effort, but "it might not work" is never a reason not to try. Especially considering that if they add the vanity slots and bust out a cash shop type dealio for costumes, a lot of us would glad pay extra money for them. Seems like a money making opportunity they should jump on.
