How strong is ilvl 70+ gear after level sync?

I occasionally do low level dungeons with FC members as my relic+1 bard. I've noticed I seem to be only slightly stronger than non-level synced bards. Does anyone know how ilvl70+ gear syncs?

Your gear caps at the iLevel of the dungeon cap. So Aurum Vale sets you at iL49, for example.

Since people doing dungeons typically don't have gear at the cap (if they are even at the level cap themselves), it's unlikely that they will outperform you unless they have unique gear that can "cheat" if the gear isn't high enough equip level to get synced down but has a higher iL than the cap.
