Yes lighting has shown up but no package even with a gold completion

If your other worldly package failed to show up in your inventory, I would report it as a bug.

But check your inventory to be sure. It works a lot like the airship envoy item. You'll be given an item box that only Petry Winsome can open.

But you accepted the quest right?

You should get the packages regardless of whether you have the quest or not. On one of my characters I did the FATE several times and got enough packages for most of the weapons before I even reached the level to be able to take the quest.

The requirements to get Otherworldly Packages are:
1) You have to take part in one of those two particular FATEs.
2) It has to be a time when Lightning actually shows up. (She shows up half the time, and it alternates. So if one time she doesn't show up, then she will the next time the FATE pops.)
3) You have to earn either a Silver or Gold completion on the FATE. (A silver will earn you one Otherworldly Package. A gold will get you two of them.)

The Otherworldly Packages have an icon that looks just like some of the crafting items (Animal Sinew, Beast Sinew, etc.), but if you have inventory auto-sorting turned on, they'll sort as miscellaneous. (The first time I saw them, I mistook them for crafting items because of the icon.)

Thxs it appeared in my inventory after I did the valentines quest and could complete the quest transaction I have reported it as a bug via my PS3 support desk on the start menu.

Yep definitely a bug, same thing happened to me on day 2 for that event, which is funny the first one worked fine.

Huh. The first time the Lightning event ran I think it was the only event at the time. It sounds like she doesn't play well with others. Possibly due to the staged nature of the event.
