What would you tell people that expected patch 2.1 to come out in november, who were already on the verge of quiting, now after the news delivered earlier?

I've tried suggesting things like...
"Level another class!"
"Work on crafting!"
"Get some achievments done!"
"Socialize!"

You know, I really like this game and even I'm getting bored.
I know people who almost have 50's of everything already.
Maybe I'm just cranky, I should go run Wanderers Palace about 40 more times then I might be ok.

I agree What I would like is more fun stuff to do while waiting in DF to Run Wanderers Palace for the 100th time... I dunno lvling Crafting in a City or Lvling another class by aoe spam doing fates seems very boring...also there aren't stuff to farm outside dungeons like a rare pet drop or a rare vanity item.. and i don't mean the pets you get during fates..All i do Right now is Sitting in mor'dhona waiting in Df or searching for a group in shout. while talking to FC. but It Feels like im waiting more and i play less at the end of the day.

I'd probably tell them to play something else until 2.1 came out. One thing gamers do not suffer from is a lack of choices.

If you don't find a game fun, don't put your money towards it. If it is fun and just lacking content atm, quit until it does. This isn't rocket science, but everyone wants it NOW NOW NOW.

Patch Operation and Cycle

It’s been three months since the launch of FFXIV: ARR. If you’ve have been focusing on a single job and leveled it all the way to the cap, there’s a chance that you’ve hit a dead end in content. We’ve envisioned a two and a half to three month patch cycle for FFXIV, with patch 2.1 originally scheduled for late November.

However, due to my inadequate planning for the massive congestion that occurred at launch, we’ve had to allocate nearly all of the server team’s resources to adding Worlds and data centers, and improving the stability of instance servers. As a result, we’ve fallen four weeks behind schedule.

Moving forward, we will endeavor to stick to our original plan of one patch every two and a half to three months, and commence a steady patch cycle.

In all honesty, if you are not enjoying the game, why are you playing it?

We are getting new content. This is what everyone has been clamoring for, new content. Daily quests, treasure maps, harder dungeons, harder primals, new dungeon, new primal, Crystal Tower. If you're only in the game for the absolute highest level gear, then I think you may be playing the wrong game.

Content, you keep using that word, I do not think it means what you think it means ^^
