But obviously SE doesn't care about you. This is clearly evident with the release of inferior content in 2.1

i80 is mainly to fill in slots to help advance to T5 easier. Yes, it's already easy to do t1-3 and t4 is more of a DPS check, but now it'll be even easier. It'll help get to those magical HP numbers to absorb a fireball to the face.

I want to have more fun in this game and this content delivers. I've recently found myself just spamming Titan HM runs because... well, despite the lag I can't fix, he's fun to fight. More fun if the people you're partied with don't have a raging problem.

What people fail to grasp is that hardcore players are not necessarily shiny-seekers and gear-mongers.

They want the best equipment available so that they can tackle the most challenging content implemented and complete it in the most efficient and effective means possible.

Crystal Tower drops item level 80 equipment but is tuned so that players in item level 55-60 will be able to clear it. For comparison, Amdapor Keep requires item level 50-55, Titan Hard Mode requires around item level 60, and the Binding Coil of Bahamut requires item level 80 (through Turn 5).

Crystal Tower is a step back in the challenge, and so hardcore or dedicated players would have to purposefully handicap themselves several tiers of equipment in order for the dungeon to be truly challenging (that is, testing the limits of ability).

It's completely fair that players who have cleared encounters requiring high item level requirements are only going to receive less challenging content.
